Meet Barry
Hi, I’m Barry — a professionally trained chef from Stoke-on-Trent with a lifelong love of honest British food.
My passion for baking started in childhood, watching my Mam Rosie make traditional pasties in our family kitchen. She did everything the proper way — from kneading dough by hand to baking in the old oven, filling the house with the smell of home.
Those warm memories shaped who I am today. After years in professional kitchens, I decided to return to my roots. I set up a small bakery at home, where I could work with my hands, honour my family’s recipes, and do things properly — no shortcuts, no corners cut. Every batch of pastry is kneaded by hand, just like Mam used to do.
Keeping those traditions alive means everything to me. It’s not just baking — it’s heritage. It’s love, wrapped in shortcrust.
